A key purpose of the TEAM is to help translate the ideas in the Framework for Aligning Sectors to more concrete actions for users. The Framework for Aligning Sectors provides a structured way to think about how to serve communities better through a specific approach to collaboration. Common questions among people first encountering the Framework for Aligning Sectors include:
- What is the difference between collaboration, in general, and aligning, specifically?
- How do I know if I am aligning?
To help answer these questions, the TEAM includes a set of baseline measures of aligning in the Base Set. If the answer to all of these questions is yes, then the collaborative is aligning at a basic level that is consistent with the Framework for Aligning Sectors. Conversely, if the answer is no to any of the questions, some basic building blocks of aligning are still missing. The collaborative may be doing impactful work, but there are still a few areas that can be enhanced for the work to be considered aligning across sectors, according to the framework’s definition.
